Ambien Outrage

FDA and The Justice System

How can the Justice System prosecute people for sleep-driving, when the Food and Drug Administration allows such a dangerous drug into the public without any relevant warnings?  (Prior to February 2008)  And even now the results are hidden behind 20 pages of chemistry results that most people don't understand and will never read.  That wasn't a coincidence.  Come on F.D.A., the relevant warnings should be on the prescription bottle.

NO ONE MAKES THE CHOICE TO DRIVE OR WALK ON AMBIEN.  The effects are involuntary.  The warnings that are given on the prescription bottles actually dodge the real side-effects.  The warnings include: don't drive after taking Ambien, well no one is making that choice, they're still in a state of sleep when they go driving, hence the phrase SLEEP-DRIVING!!  Another warning is: be sure to get 7-8 hours of sleep after taking Ambien.  Here again, if you're sleep-driving or sleep-walking during the effects of Ambien, then what does 7-8 hours of sleep have to do with anything?  Why aren't there any relevant warnings on the prescription bottles?

I can't figure out how the Justice System has gotten things so backwards with Ambien sleep-driving.  They should be prosecuting Sanofi-Aventis, not the innocent victims!!  No one chooses to sleep-drive, that's the whole point!!  Ambien sleep-activity has killed people, it has also seriously injured many others.  Listed below are just a few examples, and if you call me, I'll tell you about plenty more:
