Ambien Outrage

Legal Information

The Ambien Medication Guide is directly from Sanofi-Aventis (The makers of Ambien).  The generic name for Ambien is Zolpidem.  Note: Ambien is called Stilnox in Australia.

This is page 20 of a recent guide - Ambien Medication Guide (Scroll to the top of the article).  If you were never warned of this, then you shouldn't be prosecuted!!  There was never an intent to commit a crime, your only intent was to go to sleep.  Here is the full Ambien Medication Guide - Full Ambien Medication Guide (This Ambien Medication Guide was released in February 2008 by Sanofi-Aventis and enforced/approved by the F.D.A.)

Note: Only some pharmacies even give out this information and none of this information is provided on the prescription bottles.  You should've been warned of these side-effects prior to using such a dangerous medication.

Prior to March 2007 there were no warnings at all.

Here's a F.D.A. television news link of the warnings by the Food and Drug Administration - F.D.A. Warning  (May 2007)

Sleep Experts from the University of Minnesota - Sleep Forensics  When you get to their website, go to their Mission Statement, once you're there, go to the bottom of the second paragraph and notice the only medications that are mentioned concerning sleep driving.  (Note: Ambien is called Stilnox in Australia.)  Still no warnings from Sanofi-Aventis about not taking other medications with Ambien.  Not even the doctors are being warned of this and certainly not the general public: Sleep Driving, Ambien-Induced Amnesia, Sleep Walking, Sleep Eating.
